Went here 10+yrs & was involved in leadership. (Saw too many things to mention). Bottom line: there's an imbalance, burn-out, & sickly system. They bleed people dry. Churches attract broken people, & they should have healing to give. (I see this place as predatory in that they attract broken & further hurt). Many leave, burnt-out...& when you get close to them, you can see they are hurt themselves. The system is dysfunctional. I've seen lives & marriages suffer as a result of their severe approach, which they deem as being a result of the harsh "territory" of NV. Behind the scenes there is a misery feeling & serious problems underneath. The ones who leave receive harsh shunning & judgement.. The truth is the leaders don't want to fix the issues. (I don't think they believe let alone see it). I tried to communicate (as others have) to leadership, the other viewpoint & hopes to make it better; however they are unwilling to believe it could be better. (Sad really). The Pastor didn't respond to any of my attempts to meet. Bottom line, they don't care about the people they've hurt or doing the right thing as much as they do being right. People behind the scenes see past the delusions & charades presented. (Financial sickness, copying other sermons, tight controls, among other things). It's not the harsh territory rather a sickness which I believe the leaders themselves need to deal with the "health" of it all. (Healthy things don't need life support). Every 5 yrs it's a whole new crew..(fresh blood) until the new crew experiences what countless ones before have. (No results, pain, dysfunction, & burnout). Until the underlying issues are resolved, I would be surprised if anything lifts with this sickly ministry. I pray the leader resolves the root issues. As a "leader" he's holding many back with his stubbornness, denial, & unresolve.

  • There is always a smiling face waiting to greet you! I look forward to Sundays all week because of this church. There are so many opportunities to get involved with the church, & the weekly City Group meetings are such an amazing tool to help empower me to be the best version of myself. I cannot say enough good things about Pastor Dede & Chris Vigil in all they do for us, & the entire Reno/Sparks community. If you are looking for something more in your life- I strongly recommend visiting Victory City Church!
